LESSON 16: UILLEANN PIPE MARCHES
Marches on the Uilleann Pipes are not a very important part of Irish music. However, they are an important part of Scottish music and learning a couple of them will improve your playing and make you a more diverse played. Marches are commonly played in 2/4, 4/4, 3/4, 6/8 and at a moderate tempo just like polkas.
Mairi's Wedding Part A Slow
It's important to notice that when I repeat Part A for the second time that I have played a cut between the last Bottom D of the tune and the First Bottom D of the tune and it's not written in the music. Most of the music you will learn from away from this site will not include etchings like this its important to be able to improvise.
