Close the chanter holes in between each note.
B-A-G-F#-E-D & Tied Note Exercise
In music notation, a tie is a curved line connecting the heads of two notes of the same pitch and name, indicating that they are to be played as a single note with a duration equal to the sum of the individual notes' values. So, this just basically means you put the 2 notes together to make 1 longer note.
You will see ties frequently in slow airs, so make sure you understand the concept before moving on to the next lesson.
